HOMETOWN: Cronulla, Sydney, Australia
DAY TIME JOB: I own two F45 Functional Training Studios. I am a full time head trainer between the two gyms.
FAVORITE FOOD: Italian. I could eat pasta every day!
DREAM VACATION: Tahiti is on the bucket list - I would love to experience the racing there!
FAVORITE PADDLING RUN: Our local run from Cronulla to Stanwell Tops can get really fun! International run so far would be Hawaii Kai.
DREAM PADDLING RUN/ADVENTURE: Coming from Australia it would be to experience the racing in Tahiti and pretty much any run in Hawaii is a dream for us Aussies.
FAVORITE THING TO DO ON AN OC-1 (i.e. downwind run, surf, fish, etc.): Just being as far off land as possible with open ocean swell and having fun competing with the boys.
IF YOU'RE NOT PADDLING YOU'RE: Working in the gyms or at the local café eating & drinking coffee.
IF YOU COULD TAKE ANYONE TO DINNER (dead or alive) WHO WOULD IT BE: My wife, friends and family.
MUSIC OR NO MUSIC WHILE PADDLING. IF MUSIC, WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU ENJOY ON THE OCEAN: No music for me, I like to listen to the ocean.
BEST PIECE OF LIFE ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED: Follow your gut instinct when making decisions.. it’s almost always the right choice.
FAVORITE OC-1 RACE: My favorite would be the Molokai Relay, because you're paddling with a teammate which makes it exciting - supporting each other and trying to do your best out there for yourself and for your partner. Followed closely by the solo because it is so prestigious and it is so hard to get right.
WHO IS YOUR HERO IN LIFE: Definitely my dad Vince. He has worked very hard for so many years to give my family the amazing life we live today and fantastic opportunities for our future.
IF YOU COULD INSTILL ONE THING IN THE NEXT GENERATION OF PADDLING WHAT WOULD IT BE: Have fun with your paddling! Don’t put too much pressure on yourself, its meant to be enjoyable and a positive part of your everyday lifestyle.
