kai wa'a Hawaiian Ocean Canoes are built by Kai Bartlett who takes incredible pride in each canoe he builds, and it shows in his product. His shop is now located on the island of Maui overlooking the “Maliko run” as of January 01, 2005.

There are four models of kai wa'a canoes in production at present: the Polaris, the Spica, the Arcturus, and the Pegasus. With each stroke of the paddle Kai takes, in every condition, design ideas evolve from the recreational, fun surfing canoe to the lightest, fastest racing machine. Whatever paddling experience you enjoy most, kai wa'a has a canoe for you. The kai wa'a Pegasus is now being produced in Northern California and Australia, and we look forward to the distribution of the Pegasus in Europe in the future.
