Pat has been involved with Kai Wa'a since he was a teenager, and has had a dominant paddling career since then. The respect that Kai and Pat have for one another is truly something. Kai has said that Pat is one of his personal heroes, pushing him to be better both on the water and off. Pat's feedback on the Vega brought it to the next level, and he has tested our one man
designs since the Pegasus days.

FAVORITE RUN: Makai Pier to Kaimana
FAVORITE RACE MEMORY: 2005 Molokai Relay. It was a hard flat crossing, but was also my first big win with Kai. It was the happiest day of my teenage life.
FAVORITE HYPE SONG: House music by Calvin Harris to get the blood pumping while paddling.
DREAM PADDLING RUN/ADVENTURE: Oahu to Kaua'i.
BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED: Hard work is job security.
YOUR ADVICE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF PADDLERS: Be persistent and patient. Good things take time to develop, so work hard and trust in the process.
